Fayetteville Pet Resort opened it’s doors in the spring of 2000 as Fur Family Members Pet Care. We changed our name with our first expansion in 2003 to reflect our resort style of accommodations, services and amenities. We are located on 5 acres next to our home. We don't warehouse pets in an isolated building and leave them at night. We are in the city limits of Fayetteville, convenient to Ft. Bragg, Pope AFB, Raeford, Lumberton, and surrounding areas. We aren't JUST dog lovers or kennel operators. Dogs are a way of life for us, we have been active for most of our lives in almost every aspect related to dogs imaginable! Dog shows, obedience, rescue, field work, tracking etc, over the past 20+ years, we’ve done it all. We currently are owned by 5 Labrador Retrievers, 1 Shetland Sheepdog and 5+ cats. Our office hours are convenient BUT designed with your pet in mind. Dogs sleep approximately 14 hours per day, with larger and older dogs requiring more. Instead of sleeping in one stretch, dogs need several naps through out the day. For this reason, we close during the middle of the day so guests can nap without the distraction of arriving and departing guests. Even though we are closed, staff is available to attend to our guests as needed. The Fayetteville Pet Resort consists of over 7,000 sq. ft. in which to care for your pet. We have a very high staff to pet ratio which enables us to tailor the care of each pet to their individual needs. Most special requests can be met—just ask! We are recommended by many local Veterinarians, Vet Techs, Groomers and our customers. In fact, we are proud to call many local Vet Techs, Groomers and even some Veterinarians our customers!
